Amidst
showers of roses, Utpala walks with a garland in hand to put it around |

the neck of
her chosen one. In front of Kahlan lies a rose, just about to be |
| |
stamped by
the princess-kahlan bends to pick up the flower but his hands |
| |
touch the
princess’ feet, she is taken aback and stumbles while the garland falls |
| |
from her hand
around Kahlan’s neck. The entire

, Bideharaj is furious-while Chitra accepts defeat….. |

Married to
Kahlan, Utpala settles as his wife brushing aside the past from her |
| |
memory but
Kahlan is indifferent towards her as wife ,although Utpala tries her |
| |
best to
adjust…… |
| |
Bideharaj
reappears on the scene and incites Utpala to leave her husband .. |
| |
Utpala cannot
resist the temptation of becoming queen and leaves Kahlan …. |

Kahlan is
taken ill and goes back to his old ashram where Chitra helps him |
| |
recuperate.
Kahlan decides to marry her and settle down to marital bliss…. |

Utpala comes
back at this stage, insulted by Bideharaj , who wants to have |
| |
her as a
paramour, not wife…. |
| |
Chitra makes
the sacrifice reminding Kahlan that Utpala was his wife after all |
| |
and he was
duty bound to honour her. Finally, Kahlan and Utpala settle down…… |
